Girl Wash Your Face -Rachel Hollis

Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are, So You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be

Now thats a damn title, and in good company because this was a damn good book. I listened to Rachel Hollis through my headphones on Audible.com and she did not disappoint. She wasn’t one of those self-help writers who make you feel all bubbly in the insides, she is straight up with you tells you about her mess, and in return tells you about yours. She doesn’t pretend to be perfect, she admits and owns her faults because it makes you who you are.

“Friends, it’s not about the goal or the dream you have. It’s about who you become on your way to that goal.” – Rachel Hollis

I followed every account she has on Twitter (@msrachelhollis), Instagram (@msrachelhollis) and her tribe and business https://thechicsite.com. She made me feel like I could accomplish anything after reading her book. I had a different confidence about myself.

I looked at her page and I saw her smiles, but I also saw her trials and tribulations. Her family matched the descriptions and her pictures showed the pain and love in her eyes.

She admitted to the times she “hated” him and the times she was indifferent but she always brags on her man. And the way their business is going and their new projects, you can see he feels the same way about her.

I love how active she is with her fan base even on her Instagram page. She is engaging, entertaining and alluring. I even wrote her telling her I felt like we were best friends. Through her book I not only heard her life lessons, but my own as well. It gave me an extra step if healing that I needed.

You know when you already in therapy, already know your issues, but feel stuck and don’t know what to do next? This book was that push for me. I know that I will come back to it several times for a pick me up. If you haven’t read it, what are are you waiting on.
